About the Volunteer Program by THYR
Becoming a part of something so near and dear to God’s heart is an incredible opportunity to not only draw those we are there to help closer to God, but it strengthens our relationship with Him as well. Our program is designed to help our volunteers become skilled in our day to day operations and help build teamwork, while sharing the love of Jesus Christ right where they are.
Why become a volunteer for THYR
As it becomes increasingly more difficult for families to thrive in a society lacking the resources to assist them, we find ourselves presented with many children who are at the risk of suffering terribly from circumstances beyond their control. Becoming a volunteer will impact the lives of these children and our horses tremendously. Giving ourselves to those in need not only fulfills our lives, but brings great honor and glory to God.
What is expected from our volunteers
As a volunteer, you will be assigned to specific tasks or program areas. You will need to complete your training in each area along with a saftey procedure training before becoming fully approved.
- You need to be aged 10 or more
- Ages 10-12 must be accompanied by an adult
- Helping and supporting other volunteers
- An organized, responsible, and punctual person
- Communication skills and a caring personality
- Willing to take part in seminars & professional training
- Experience with horses is a big advantage
- Willing to perform the tasks assigned

Complete Background Check
After you finish the application process, respond to the background check email to get the approval process started.
Complete Training
Once approved, attend one of our many training programs to become a part of our family. Becoming a THYR Volunteer will be the best decision you ever made.
